How to make a simple query?

Don't you know how to start making simple queries with Dataslayer yet?

Don't worry, we are going to explain it to you.

Once you have downloaded Dataslayer, you can make simple queries in a few seconds following these steps:

Open a Google Sheets document and click on extensions.

Go to the Dataslayer extension, and click on Lauch sidebar to open it.

Now that you have the Dataslayer add on opened, you have to select the datasource you want to work with.

For this example we will select Google Ads.

After that, you have to select the account you want to extract data from.

You can select as many as you want

Next, you have to select the date range that you want to work with and the metrics and dimensions you want to upload.

In this case we will select this month to date.

You can type the words "today" or "yesterday" in the date field. Learn more about custom date tricks here.

For the metrics we will select "clicks" and "impressions", and for dimensions "date", for example.

Now, select the cell where you want to insert your data and click on generate table.

And that's it!, in a few seconds you will have all your data in Google Sheets so you can work with it.

If you want to modify the query once it has been created, you only have to click anywhere on the data table and in the add on you will see several editing options. In this FAQ we explain it further.
