How to create a project and a dataset in my BigQuery account

In order to use our product you have to previously create a Project on Google BigQuery so the data transferred can be stored there.

How to create a Project

Once in Google BigQuery, click on Select a project.

A window will appear, select New Project.

Fill in the required gaps and click on Create.

You can learn more about the Organization gap here.

We have created the Project!

How to create a data set

After creating the Project we need to create a data set. There are two ways to create your data set.

1. Creating the data set from BigQuery

You will be able to see the project you have just created in the Explorer section. Click on the three points next to the project and on Create data set.

Fill in the gaps and click on Create data set.

You don't necessarily have to change the Location type but if you want you can learn more about it here.

Keep in mind that if you select "Enable table expiry option", your data WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DELETED after the selected days have passed!

That's it! We have created the data set.

2. Creating the data set from Dataslayer

Go to our website and select our BigQuery product.

Once there, click on New Transfer (or modify an existing one).

Select the email account from which you created the project and click on Transfer Data.

Fill in all the gaps, you will see two Dataset fields: Dataset and New Dataset Name.

Dataset: Select the option "Create new dataset".

New Dataset Name: Write the name you want to give to the new dataset.

That's it! As easy as that!

You can learn how to use our BigQuery product here.

As always, please contact us via our live chat on our website or via email if you still have doubts or questions. We are happy to help!
