Solution to the error "The number of columns in the data does not match the number of columns in the range"

Did you try to modify a query and got the error "The number of columns in the data does not match the number of columns in the range"?



Don´t worry, this happens because you tried to modify a query with the "combine new with old results" option selected.

Follow these steps to fix it:

Click on Modify to modify the query

If you don't know how to modify a query click here



Uncheck the option "combine new with old results"

If you do not deselect this option, the error will not be solved.

Don't worry, you can select it again later.




Modify your query selecting the new desired parameters.


Click on confirm changes. This will generate the table with the new modifications.




Modify again, and select "combine new with old results".






Confirm changes and you will have your modified query without the error.
