What is #REF! in my DataslayerQueries sheet and how to solve it

Have you looked at the hidden DataslayerQueries sheet and seen #REF! in one of the cells?

Don't worry, this is a common error easy to solve.

How a normal DataslayerQueries sheet has to look like

Normally, the DataslayerQueries hidden sheet looks like the image below. There are no error messages and each column corresponds to its header.

We also always inform you NOT to touch this sheet because you may break the queries.

Why I have #REF! in some of the cells of my DataslayerQueries sheet?

#REF! is a common error that appears when some information is missing.

In this example, we eliminate "Sheet 3", and #REF! appeared in the cell where the name of that sheet was.

Eliminate a sheet is an example, if you haven't deleted any sheet and you get the #REF! error, look at the document history to see what it could be and what changes have been made.

Keep in mind that if you had more than one query on that sheet, more than one row on the DataslayerQueries sheet will have #REF! error on its cells.

How can I solve it?

You have two options depending on your needs:

If you had eliminated the sheet on purpose you can eliminate that row too.

If you didn't want to eliminate that sheet go to File > Version history > See version history.

Then select the version history which has the information you want, in this case the version which has Sheet 3, and restore that version.

Remember: If you have not deleted any sheet and you get the #REF! error, look at the document history to see what it could be and what changes have been made and follow step 2 above.
